Chris joined the Firm as a Tax Partner in December 2006. His primary disciplines include large corporate tax compliance and
planning, research credit studies, embedded cost studies, accounting period and methods issues, transactional services, audit
representation in income tax audits, tax provision (FAS 109) calculations and consultation with respect to accounting for
uncertainty in income taxes (FASB interpretation No. 48). He works with closely held entities as well as publicly traded companies.
Prior to joining Montgomery Coscia Greilich LLP, Chris spent five years at KPMG, LLP and two years at Arthur Andersen, LLP
as a Senior Manager in the Federal Tax Services group. Chris was the lead senior tax manager for the Southwest region over
Research Credit services at KPMG. He also managed a large client load of multiple fortune 500 hundred tax clients of the firm. In
addition, he was a member of firm's national Accounting Methods and Research Credit Services team throughout his tenure at KPMG.
While at KPMG and Andersen, Chris was involved in large corporate compliance and consulting, large partnership compliance and
consulting, IRS representation, research credit study preparation and audit defense, firm-wide research credit technical training,
accounting method change implementations, consolidated stock basis studies, Section 199 studies and the management of multiple
clients in all aspects of Federal, state/local and international compliance. Chris also spent extensive time consulting on FAS 109 and
FIN 48 for numerous clients. Chris' primary clients operate in the high technology, manufacturing or retail sectors.
Prior to serving at KPMG and Arthur Andersen, Chris served for eight years in the corporate tax department of Cinemark Theatres.
During his tenure at Cinemark, Chris developed extensive experience in multiple disciplines of taxation including Federal, international,
state/local and sales and use tax. He also managed the state and local audit defense process as well as played a critical role in the
preparation of the provision for income taxes (FAS 109) both quarterly and annually.
Chris received his BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin in 1990, and his MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas
in 1994. Chris is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas
Society of Certified Public Accountants.
