Gary joined the Firm in April 2009 and is a Partner in the Capital and Business Advisory Services Group. His primary disciplines include:

Gary has significant experience with clients in the financial services, real estate, construction, distribution and services industries.

Prior to joining the Firm, Gary served has the Chief Financial Officer and VP Finance for both publicly traded and private companies.

Gary began his career with Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) and was an Audit Manager in the Emerging Business Services practice in Dallas for seven years. Subsequently, Gary was the Chief Financial Officer for Summit Acceptance Corporation and he was instrumental in the growth of Summit from a start up auto finance company to a nationally recognized company in the industry. Summit was sold to Capital One in 1998 and became known as Capital One Auto Finance. Gary continued as the Chief Financial Officer and was responsible for the financing strategies that contributed to the rapid growth of Capital One Auto Finance.

Subsequent to his tenure at Capital One Auto Finance, Gary served as the VP Finance for the mortgage subsidiary of Palm Harbor Homes (a publicly traded manufactured home builder). Gary also served as the Chief Financial Officer of Ascendant Solutions (a publicly traded equity investment company).

Most recently, Gary was Chief Financial Officer of CLB Partners, Ltd., which was the largest shareholder of Ascendant Solutions. CLB Partners, Ltd. is a developer of luxury condominiums in Dallas, Austin and San Diego. In his role at CLB, Gary was responsible for the financial forecasting, accounting and tax reporting activities for over 70 real estate partnerships. Gary was also responsible for the execution of debt and equity financing transactions for all of CLB’s real estate developments.

Gary is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated from Baylor University with a BBA in Accounting. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
