Rene Balli


Rene is an audit partner in the Firm’s Business Advisory and Assurance Department. His primary disciplines include financial statement attestation, internal audit, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, due diligence and post acquisition accounting. Rene has substantial experience in the following industry sectors: restaurant, manufacturing, construction (home builders and hotel renovation), home health care, and US Government contracting. Rene has spent extensive time assisting clients with complex accounting issues such as: FAS 123R, FIN 46R, FAS 141 and convertible debt with detachable warrants.

Rene joined the Firm in December 2004. Prior to joining the Firm, Rene spent over two years at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in the Business Advisory and Assurance Department. At PwC, Rene was in-charge of multiple large public and private companies. Rene was in charge of providing services that included Sarbanes-Oxley audits, financial statement audits, employee benefit plan audits and opening/closing balance sheet audits for acquisitions.

Prior to joining PwC, Rene spent four and one-half years with Montgomery Baggett & Drews LLP. Rene provided audit and consulting services to private and public companies.

Rene is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in May 1998. Rene is an active member in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
